Sorry, this is not my Orange Bowl blog. But since Scott is plugging Kirkville for WevilFest '05, why not Meeker, Oklahoma. Not only does Meeker have a population of 4,200, it has a lake that you can't swim in. You can boat in it though. Meeker has nine churches in a 20 mile radius covering 7 different denominations. We have a variety of people too; from drugees who own their own drug labs to the rich people (numbering 100) to none other than the back wood red necks. Such variety, who wouldn't have fun in Meeker. But I'm not done yet. Meeker is the home of Carl Hubbel. A famous baseball player who also has a museum dedicated to him located in City Hall. Meeker has good restraunts too, such as Ladonna's Grill for great home-cooking, the Bad Dawg Cafe, a good burger place but should be called the Smokey Dawg Cafe, and Big Daddy's, well the name speaks for itself. Meeker is home to one of the best softball teams in the state winning state in 2002, 2003, and was runner up in 2004. Well there is my plug for Meeker. If you have any more questions, please comment.

It's over! Sing, fat lady, sing!
Well, mis holiday blog ist here. I have a lot to cover so let's get started. Thanksgving break was a blast. Food and family was awesome. But the week after Thanksgiving, Ben, Christina, and I went to Hillsdale to see Joshs' play, The Nerd (which was great by the way). I missed two days of school to hang out with everyone. I had a good time hanging out with them. I don't get to do that often. It was just like old times hanging out together.
The last day of school was yesterday and now all I have to do is take only two finals next and I am done for the semester. Then all that seperates me from graduating next May is 21 hours. I am taking 5 hours in January and then completing the other 16 hours in the spring semester. Then only then, hopefully I will a graduate of college. Finally. I will be the second of the group to finish college. Yeah!!!
On to sports. A lot has happened in the college football world since I have last blogged. Oklahoma dominated Colorado in the Big 12 Championship spanking them 42-3. It was just a picture of the South dominating the North. The North only won 3 games against the South and they were all against Baylor. This set up was perfect for Iowa St. to make it into the Big 12 Championship. But once again the kicking game failed (I think kickers took the year off or something, because they ALL SUCK!!!). It was no surprise to see OU make it to the Orange Bowl against USC. This could well be the best match-up and the best game that has ever been played in a while, especially a National Championship game. This game will have four Heisman finalists, and a possiblity of two Heisman winners. Talk about an awesome matchup. This is probably the first time that two Heisman quarterbacks will face each other. This game should be an awesome one to watch. Watch for my Orange Bowl blog coming in a few weeks.
Now to the final subject of the day. The Heisman Trophy will be announced tonight. The finalists are the previous Heisman winner and probably the greatest Quarterback at Oklahoma, Jason White. The next candidate is the freshman phenom who broke all the freshman stats at Oklahoma and set the record for most 100 yard games by a freshman with 11 and the most consecutive 100 yard games by a freshman with 9. He has the potential to be one of the greatest running backs not only at OU, but all-time. He is Adrian Peterson. The other candidates are Matt Leinart, Reggie Bush, and Alex Smith. I would think that the race would be between White and Leinart, but from what I have been hearing, it is between Peterson and Leinart. Now what this probably means is that White and Peterson split their votes and Leinart will probably win. Should he? No. Jason White should win it, but everyone is still mad about last season and don't want to admit that he is that good. Oh well, he already has a Heisman. He wants a National Championship. That's all for now. Once again, don't forget to sign up for the Bowl Pick'em. Brad and I are the only ones right now. So go and sign up.

I Owe It All To My Girl's Ex-Boyfriend
Here I am once again writing another mini blog. I plan on doing a holiday blog over Thanksgiving and Christmas tomorrow and that may be it for a while. It all depends on how busy I am throughout the holidays. First off, don't forget to read my previous blog about the Bowl Pick'em. Next, I am about to finish my last day of class here in about an hour. I have already taken one final yesterday and I will only have two real finals next week. The other "final" is sitting through other students in my Youth Education class teaching. So not really a final. This has been probably my best semester ever grade wise. I may actually hit a GPA of a 3.0 for the first time ever in a semester. Well, I'm off to do some other things. Look for my holiday blog over the weekend.
P.S. Be in prayer for my cousin and his wife. She is due on Sunday to have their first child. Just keep in prayer that everything goes well during the whole situation.

It's Bowling Time
I have started a group on ESPN Bowl Challenge. The more who sign up the more fun it will be. This time all you have to do is pick just once, not every week. We had most of the people drop out of the College Pick'em. I won it, but barely. Brad caught up quickly. Anyways, the name is "It's Bowling Time" and the password is football. See ya there. Will write later.
