Just the good 'ol boys.

I have some exciting news for those who grew up wanting to ramp things as a kid. Guess what I just saw on TV. The first season of "The Dukes of Hazzard" will be out on Tuesday. I'm not sure about you all, but I grew up on this show. It was a sweet show and I will be buying it on Tuesday. Well, as soon as I can get some time off to go to the store.

Well, I did see Shrek 2 Thursday night. It was pretty good. It is hard to compare it to the first one and give it a review. Because I have only seen it once and will have to see it a few more times to catch all of the jokes and etc. to give it a full review, but I do recommend to go and see it.

Some more good news, after putting over 269,000 miles on my old car, I finally broke down and got another one. I bought a forest green 99 Honda Accord EX. It has a sunroof, cd player, power locks and windows, etc... It was a great deal. I paid only $8700 for it. The guy I bought it from owed almost $13,000. Not really sure how that happens, but he did own 4 cars, now 3. So, I am excited that I can drive almost anywhere without worrying about if my hood was going to fly off, a tire to go flat, power steering fluid leaking, well you get the idea.

Side note
I am seeing some wicked pictueres of this storm on TV. They are saying that there is hail larger than a softball. Holy crap. Everyone be safe

Well, to end my post with my #10 spot on Zach's Top 11 CD's
#10 - MxPx - Life in General
This is was a great cd from the moment I put it into my cd player. I sort of was introduced to MxPx backwards with Ever Passing Moment and went back to their older stuff. I think this was the second cd of theirs I bought. This is another straight fast punk beat. Highlighted songs are Middlename, Do your feet hurt, Move to Bremerton, Andrea, Doing Time, Southbound, and the song most people now MxPx by, Chick Magnet (actually, Punk Rawk Show is well known too, but Teenage Politics did not make my top 11).

It's Me, It's Me, the D-O-double G!!

I am back and out of hell for all of you that care. I haven't updated in a while partly because of finals last week and this weekend I went to see some friends that were in from Ft. Worth. Last week was a crazy week, but I got through it. I would like to thank everyone who helped get me through this semester, whether it was phone calls to talk, joking around at Target with the kids toys, prayers, the fun we had at WevilFest '04, or whatever, Thanks a lot, I appreciate it.

On a different note, I had a great weekend. It was a good time for some rest and to catch up with some friends that I haven't seen in about a year. You just can't replace friends that have had such an impact on your life and will tell you the truth no matter what. God has truly blessed me with these friends and other great friends like you all.

Well, I guess the business has started. Ben says that he is already doing some graphics for some churches in the area. That is good to hear; the more the name gets thrown out and around, the more business we will get. Hopefully, Josh and I can get in the mix with the help of some graphic designs ourselves.

This post went a different direction from what I thought it would be, but here is the #10 spot on the Top #11 Favorite Cd's.

#10 - Philmore - Self-Titled
This was their first album (as far as my knowledge concerns) and it is a great album. Songs such as Fishy, Bon Jovi's Livin' On A Prayer, Our Finest Hour, and Worth the Wait highlight the album. This is a truly punk album with the punk beat streaming through every song. The band has sort of flattened out in the past few years with, but I am not talking about the bands I am posting my favorite Cd's.

As you can see, I did find my Top #11 sheet and will post 1 every time. And finally a big thanks to Josh's laziness. Without it I would be in hell. But I am not. Thank you to Josh and his laziness.

When will I learn? The answer to life's problems aren't at the bottom of a bottle, they're on TV!

Well, blogger updated their site so I thought that I would update mine as well. Let me know what you think about it and if you have any ideas to change it. I am sort of new at the html stuff, but I am slowly picking it up.

Good news!!! School is almost out. I have 2 classes today and one tomorrow. Then I have four finals next week. I may only have to take three, because one teacher gave us an optional final. But I am not sure if my grade is what I need to pass, so we will see. Speaking of school, remember the teacher I told you about in my last post. If not, take the time to read it now......................................................., well that same day, I decided to count how many times he said "ummm". I counted 191 times he said it. I mean that is ridiculous sitting in class listening to him. Twenty five percent of his vocab is ummmm.

This is where I would post my #10 selection of my Top 11 Cd's, but I cannot seem to find the list right now. So it will just have to wait until the next time I post. Well, I guess I better get ready for class. All I know is that you're dead, you're dead, I'm gone.

Oh, you didn't know? You're a$$ better calllllllll somebody.

Well, I am posting again. I am between classes. Well, there is not been a lot going on lately. I did buy my mom her mother's day gift yesterday, and I ended up giving it to her also. I bought her a weedeater. Stop laughing for a second and let me explain. She enjoys working outside in her garden, mowing, weedeating (if it's not a word, it is now), and other outside stuff. Her old one is old and so she needed and wanted a new one, so I bought her one. Now you understand.

I have found the most boring class ever in history of humankind. And I mean ever. It is my Comparitive Civilizations class. The class in general is not so boring, but the teacher takes the cake and makes it boring. In public speaking, saying "ummm" many times is not the sign of a great speaker. People still do it, but not as repeatedly as he does. He says ummm so many times, I think he loses his thought of what he was speaking on before, and therefore says ummm again. He would put Edwin Wade (he taught our FWB History and Doctrines class???) to shame. You wouldn't think so, but I would invite you to come down and sit in on one of his classes and you will soon see the light, or the back of your eyelids.

Well, marriage is in the air. I was counting up the other day about how many people that have been married, are getting married, are engaged, or being close to engagement in the past year. Seven couples that I know fall into this category. Fourteen people. I guess there must be something in the air; the gas prices rising to $1.85, school is letting out, alcohol, or whatever, but something is in the air. I thought it sucked when Scott and Ben got married, but this is ridiculous. Well, I guess I am just complaing because I am still single and proud of it.

The time has finally come to post my Top 10 CD's. I know everyone has been waiting patiently for 2 months for me to post them. But I don't want to copy off Josh (Lucky 13) or Brad (Top 10), so here are my top 11 CD's.

#11 FM Static - Self-titled

As most of you know, this is an offshoot band from Thousand Foot Krutch, but not as hard. It quickly became one of my favorite cd's with its' hard rock beat and sweet lyrics. Songs like Three Days Later, Crazy Mary, The Notion, Defintely Maybe, and October highlight the many hit cd. If you don't have it, buy it. It is a great cd, because it is on Zach's Top 11 List. So go buy it, cause Zach said so.

Are you thinking what I'm thinking?
I think so Brain, but me and Pippylongstocking, what would the kids look like.

Another classic cartoon, Animaniacs. Brad mentioned the show a few days ago and I thought I would bring back some old memories. It is May 3, and Zach has finally paid for this semester. I know I am a little late, but better late than never. And it can't be never, because OBU would hunt me down and kill me to get my money.
Well, onto the blog. This past week was good. I was going to play hookie from work and go hang out with Ben, because he was in the city on Thursday, but I had already taken off on Tuesday to spend some time with my sister. I watched "Walking Tall" last weekend and it was just a good all around movie, despite everything The Rock did was fake, but it was fun to watch. It reminded me of the days when I watched wrestling in the dorms and became indulged in it like a soap opera. Speaking of wrestling, I rented The King of the Ring (1998) where the Undertaker and Mankind faught in the 1st Hell in a Cell match. Man, that was a brutal match. I am not sure how much of it was planned or if any, but falling 16 ft off of a chain link cage onto an announcers table. Then Mankind being chokeslammed through the cage onto the mat, then chokeslammed onto a bed of tacks and walked away from the match when it was over. Thirty minutes of getting the crap out of you, with a broken arm/shoulder, teeth knocked out. It was crazy. Then I watched Stone Cold Steve Austin fight Kane for the WWF, not WWE, Title. Those were the great days of wrestling, at least for me. I was so wrapped up in it, I would scream at the TV when The Rock or Stone Cold came out to lay the smack down on the McMahons. Good times. By the way, how was Smackdown Josh. I have been meaning to see how it went. I got to watch most of it, but I did not see you. Of course I did not know what to look for either.
I went to my first Arena Football game Saturday night. One of my friends is getting married next week, so we had a bachelor's party for him. (Seems like my single friends are becoming fewer and fewer. Josh, we are in the minority. But that is a whole other blog). Anyways, the Oklahoma City YardDawgz played the Tulsa Talons. We sat in the corner of the arena, but we never caught any footballs. OKC scored on the first play of the first drive with a 45 yard touchdown. The whole game was fun, there was never a dull moment. Except for there were too many penalties which drug out the game. But on a different thought, Ben would enjoy playing this sport and so would I. The reason being is that the cheerleaders don't have sidelines to cheer on, so they stand in the endzones. Besides the fact that all they do is take up space and are constantly in the way. It is like they are asking to be hit with a football. That makes AF2 even more interesting. The greatest thing of the night was the I got to see, in person, the Grambling State University Marching Band. It was an awesome experience. Amazing is a great word for it. They have surpassed the Texas A&M marching band as the greatest band in the land. They are both awesome, but the GSU Band blew me away. I would encourage everyone to go see a Arena Football game sometime. You would enjoy it. I will post my top 10 favorite cd's tonight. I have to go to class now. Until then. Suck it.
