It started with a bloody "S"
Well, unfortunately it is back to the real world of work and school. But on the brighter side was WevilFest '04. It was a blast!!! I definitely needed it to kick back and hang out with some awesome friends. My memories are not in list or, just paragraph. Even though I missed the resurrection of Wevil Knievel on Thursday, because my stupid boss is well stupid and we will leave it at that. But, I made it to Glenpool at 8:30pm just in time to get some fresh enchilada's made by the great hostess of the weekend, Christina. We then played Cranium, which I think fried a few of our brains this weekend. Yes, the Star Swords answer was mine, but so was Drew Barrymore. Josh, I think you missed one of the most hilarious moments of the weekend when it was you, yourself who had a humdinger which was "YMCA", and Scott couldn't think of it even with you emphasis on YMCA and even saying it in your mouth, just like I couldn't get Star Wars.
Friday, we played some Bond. I was not Most Dishonorable all the time, but I did happen to get Longest and Shortest Innings.??? We hung out most of the day playing Cranium, watching TV, eating. Yes, we did have fun Friday at Target, and I do feel bad for leaving Ben and Chrisitina behind, but I appreciate and realize why they did. Crossing that street on Friday evening was not smart. Brad was the only one around this area that knew that, but he did anyways. First of all, it took us like ten minutes to cross the street at the crosswalk. Yeah, we will leave the "dirty" toys where they are at Target. We then did the smartest thing of the night by crossing the same street in the middle of the street. People were looking at us like we were nuts. We had a good time eating, except that Christina didn't get her food because they gave it to someone else. Christina, supposedly didn't mind, but I was hacked because they did that.
Saturday was the departing day for everyone, except for me. I stayed and hung out a couple more days, because of my tardiness. We went to Locust Grove for Becca's wedding shower. Well, Christina went while Ben and I played football on Gamecube and watched the NCAA tourney. It was my first time to be at Ben's house, which was a cool experience. This guy grew up in a little kid's paradise with the huge front yard and a river in the back yard. What more could a little boy ask for? I got to see Becca and meet her soon to be husband and their family. Two things stuck out about their family. The dad has a lot of OU ties and has some hilarious stories and also their daughter, Gillian, which could pass for being older than she acutally is. Interesting name, definitely new to me. Random thought over. Ben also gave me the grand tour of the great town of Locust Grove, Oklahoma.
Sunday, we checked out the Apple computers and supplies we will need to start our business. Took a nap the rest of the afternoon. Oh yeah, we did go to church too. It is a cool experience to see and hear young children sing praises to the Lord. That night, I played some one-on-one with Ben, and not to brag, but to say that I was the bus driver and he was a little boy on the bus being taken for a ride. Well, now that I am awake and not dreaming anymore.. He kicked my butt. (Note to self: start exercising).
Overall it was a great time. Indeed it did expand from four people to eight people this year. Karla was definitely christened into our group. Scott, I hope that we didn't scar her too much. I hope she had fun. It was just fun to see old friends and catch up and just to make fools of ourselves so we can have more stories to tell our other friends (which no one will get and we will make a fool of our own selves telling the story). A great big THANK YOU to Ben and Christina for hosting WevilFest this year. I know it can and was hard to house 5 extra people and take care of them and also taking care of Josie, which by the way is getting bigger and cuter, and I appreciate all that you did for us this weekend. I hope we didn't through your lives too much out of order (going to bed a 9, etc..). haha. Anyways, thanks again. Early plans for next year is to meet somewhere centrally located and stay somewhere where no one has any responsibilites of taking care of everyone else.
Well, I think I am pretty safe from Josh making a site for me with that long blog entry I just did. Talk to you all later. And I'll leave you with this quote from Stewie: Hey, mother, I come bearing a gift. I'll give you a hint. It's in my diaper and it's not a toaster.
Also, check out my random "Family Guy" quotes somewhere on this page. Not exactly sure where it is, but enjoy!

It's Time To Read Cinderella
March Madness is finally here. Even after nine consecutive years of making it to the Big Dance, OU didn't make it in to the field of 64. It still looks like a good bracket though. I have started an online group at ESPN. So go check it out and enter. I sent some of you an email containing the group name and password. Others, I did not have your email address. I invited a lot of my friends to join and I encourage you to do the same. The more the merrier. Brad and Riley, you are welcome to join too. Get a hold of Ben, Josh, or I, Zach to get the information for the tourney.
Anyways, in other great news. Spring Break is here!!! I am so glad in many ways that it is here. I am so tired of school, I needed a good rest. I still have to work though, but come Thursday night, I will set out on a journey that will take me to deep into the heart of Glenpool, Oklahoma, the home of the Warriors. The task set before me is to rock out, visit with great friends, eat, be merry, and play Bond. I will put my best foot forward in acheiving this task at hand. This task is, WEVILFEST '04!!! The greatest place for food, fun, music, and entertainment. See ya there.
3 days and counting.

Zach's back and it's time to kick it!!!
Yeah, I know it has been a while since I have updated, but I have been waiting on a few things so that I could post them. The good news is that Zach did get off the Friday and Saturday of Spring Break, so WevilFest '04 will be complete. I will arrive in Tulsa around 9:00pm on Thursday. So, I will see you all there.
Also from the founder of the "Chuck, Chuck" campaign, comes the "Screw you, OBU" campaign. I was wanting to use some different initials, but I do realize that others read my blog too and I did not want to affend anyone. This campaign came about today after chapel when I, Zach, picked up the campus paper and the front headline reads, "Tuition increase announcement prompts student reaction." Students recieved an e-mail from the president stating that next years tuition will be raised $847. This wouldn't be that big of a deal, but this is the second time in 2 years OBU has raised the tuition. Me personally, I am pissed, irritated, perterbed, and hacked off that they insist on doing this. The money is going to be used for teacher's salary (which must be like $40,000+), tecnological upgrades, campus environment, and this last one seems like an oxymoron to provide additional money for financial aid.
[Hmmmm, let's think about this for a second. So to provide more money for financial aid, we must raise the price of tuition. Seems to me that if tuition wasn't so high, the money for financial aid could go somewhere else. Also, if OBU is a Christian institution that prepares students for different ministries, how can they charge such a high rate. Most of these future ministers, missionaries, and educators are left in a huge debt after graduating. How can this be helpful to someone who wants to enter the mission field? Debt IS NOT a Biblical principle, but yet OBU insists on using loans and raising tuition to hamper their own students. So, if you would like to help Zach out with the "Screw you, OBU" campaign you can e-mail the president of OBU, Mark Brister]
Well, onto other things. I am oh so close to finalizing my Top Ten Favorite CD's. I have the 10 CD's, but I now must put them in order. They will be done before WevilFest '04. So that should be my next post. Until next time.
