Bobby, if you are going to fake dial, you have to use more than 3 numbers.
Well, it is time for me to update again. I have been going to the city this week for teller training. Even though I have been at the bank for a little over a month, I am just now going to teller training. It's cool though. I get paid for 7 hours a day plus mileage, which will help me with the wear and tear it will put on my car. My car is pushing 263,000 miles so at this point I am looking for a newer car. Somewhere around a 2000 to 2002 Honda most likely is what I am looking for. It may not be for a month now, but soon. Also, I am looking at a computer to start making and editing videos. I am still debating on an Apple or a homemade one, which my friend could build pretty cheap and be really powerful and a lot of memory, a 120 GB hard drive. Anyways, school starts monday. I only have like 33 hours left before I graduate, so I am taking 16 hours this semester and 17 hours next semester and hopefully by my birthday this year, I will have graduated from OBU with a Bachelors Degree in Youth Ministry. Anyways, I plan on updating more on Friday, so until then, have fun.

Hey Everyone,
I have a prayer request for you all. My mom went to the ER tonight. She is having pain from her elbow to her shoulder. I am not sure about exactly what is wrong, but because of the symptoms they are keeping her overnight. So, hopefully it has nothing to do with a stroke/heart attack, but if you would please keep her in your prayers. Thanks.

Sunday, January 11

I wouldn't be more surprised if I woke up with my head sown to the carpet.

Be prepared, because of lack of updates, this blog is longer than previous.
That's it, I am finally updating my blog. Sorry about the wait for a thorough update. Anyways, I guess I will get started. Life has been good and as always God is good. Until school starts in early February, I have been and will be working around 40 hours a week at BancFirst in McLoud. I have been there a month and I'm enjoying it. We are still short one teller because of maternal leave, but once she gets back (the week I start school), there won't be all the stress. Getting this job, I thought I would be working banking hours. WRONG!!! I basically work anywhere from 7:30 - 7:00 M-F, and 7 - 2 on Saturday. It wasn't what I was expecting, but they are working about my hours for school, so thats a plus. I will only work around 25 hours during school.

Speaking of school, I am taking 10 - 13 hours (haven't finished schedule yet) which includes some classes that I totally forgot right now. [brainfart]. Anyways, I am hopefully going to grauate next spring. Hopefully. We will see.

Well, to let you know about me being the Intern Music Minister at First Baptist. The reason it is an internship is because I have never lead music in a church, and the pastor has so he is going to help me and then after a few months if I felt lead to stay and continue they will put me at part time, but if I feel lead to quit, I can. I enjoy it for now, but I still think my heart is with youth. Maybe God is preparing me in both ministries to help a future church. Who knows, he may just be helping me out with some extra dough. Today was my second week and it went much smoother than last week (well, what did you expect, last week was the first time I had lead music at a church; that's why I am an intern, duh). It is a new opportunity to minister. I know I have done a lot with youth in the past and I thought I would continue with that. But, I have been feeling that I have been wasting my musical talent. I sang specials and etc., thought about joining a band (there's not one around here to join, and Scott, Josh, and Ben know how I stuck with band [sarcasm medium high]). So when the youth minister (a friend of mine) asked me to consider this option in thier church. And so here I am. It has been a great blessing to lead a church in worship. Please keep me in your prayers as I learn in this new ministry and that God will use it for his glory.

Lately, I have been on this kick about God's glory and majesty. It amazes me that everything that goes on is for his glory. I love it. "Not To Us" has become one of my favorite songs.
Not to us but to His name, be the glory.
The earth is shaking, the mountains shouting, it's all for You.
The waves are crashing, the sun is raging, it's all for You.
The universe is spinning and singing, it's all for You.
Your children dancing, dancing, dancing, it's all for You.

It always brightens my day to know it and hear it. Also "If We Are The Body" by Casting Crowns has a great message. In particular, Jesus paid much to high a price for us to pick and choose who should come.
Everything is for God, and we should give our everything to be a part of His glory by choosing to give our all to Him.

Well, onto wordly stuff. OU just totally blew my mind these last two games. OU played an uncharacteristic game in Kansas City and just got beat in Lousiana. I would make excuses for the Big 12 Championship game, but I didn't watch the whole thing and I don't want to be another Mike Lupica. So, I will for the National Champioship game. I would say the refs had a small part to do with it. 11 penalties? OU hasn't had 11 penalties in a single game in 2 years. Two of them cost us turnovers. But OU had more than one chance to win, but could not pull it off. Well Ben, I will be the first one to sign the "Chuck Chuck Campaign" and my cousin will sign it too. Who in their right mind, after wearing down the LSU defense with running the ball for 60 yards, decides we are going to throw from now on. Give me a physical break. Common sense people, common sense. Well, the Big 12 was exposed over the bowl season, 2-6, and especially with Nebraska and Texas Tech. Oh well, there is always next year.

Well, there my update. I'm sure there is more I left out, and will mention that when I think of it. Talk to you all later.

Monday, January 5

What's up? Long time, no post. Sorry about that, I actually have to do something for 40 hours a week now. It's called a job. Anyways, I also started yesterday as the Intern Music Minister at church so my life has been getting busier and busier. But, I am enjoying it. God is amazing in all his glory. I have Wednesday off, so I will hopefully write more then. Until then, bye.
